Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) – November 1, 2025 Observation
Weather and Conditions
After a day of heavy rain, the skies finally cleared in the evening. The Moon was bright, making conditions far from ideal for comet hunting. Still, it turned out to be a rewarding night!
Visibility
Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) was not visible to the naked eye, most likely due to the Moon’s glare. However, through optics, the view was excellent:
- 16x42 Image Stabilized binoculars: The comet appeared faint but distinct.
- Analog Sky binoculars: Made spotting the comet much easier.
Through the Analog Sky Magic binoculars
Using:
- 36mm Baader Hyperion
- 19mm Tele Vue Panoptic
The comet looked beautiful, with a tail extending more than 1° across the sky—a delicate and impressive sight despite the lunar interference.
Photography
Captured with:
- Camera: Canon EOS R
- Lens: RF 28–70mm F/2.0
- Settings: ISO 800, 3.2-second exposure
The images show the comet’s subtle glow and elongated tail—a nice reward after a cloudy day.
Summary
Even though the Moon made naked-eye observation impossible, binoculars and a telescope revealed a stunning comet with a graceful tail.
